The Mavericks won the first two games of the series at home, and are now favored to win Game 3 in Minneapolis. The Mavericks have been led by Luka Doncic, who is averaging 33.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game in the playoffs. Doncic has been particularly effective late in games, averaging 10.0 points in the fourth quarter of the Mavericks' two wins in this series.
The Timberwolves have been led by Karl-Anthony Towns, who is averaging 25.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in the playoffs. Towns has been effective in the post, but he has struggled to hit shots from the outside. The Timberwolves have also been hurt by the absence of D'Angelo Russell, who is out with a knee injury.
The Mavericks are a slight favorite to win Game 3, but the Timberwolves have a chance to tie the series if they can get a win at home. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
