ALD acquired by Societe Generale

Societe Generale, the long-term majority shareholder of ALD, has announced the closing of the acquisition today.

The acquisition was made through Societe Generale's subsidiary, WEB Societe Generale, and includes the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding.

The European Commission has approved the acquisition under the EU Merger Regulation. The proposed acquisition of LeasePlan by ALD Automotive and LeasePlan in the UK will begin the process of integration following the completion of the acquisition.

As part of the proposed acquisition of LeasePlan, ALD would apply for regulated status. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the first half of 2023.
