Villanova Announces Blake Burkey as Assistant Athletics Director
Experienced Administrator Joins Wildcats Athletic Department
Villanova University has appointed Blake Burkey as its new assistant director of athletics effective in the summer of 2022. Burkey, who joined Villanova in 2018, brings a wealth of experience in collegiate athletics administration to the role.

Background and Experience
Prior to joining Villanova, Burkey held positions at the University of South Carolina and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At South Carolina, he served as the director of operations for men's basketball and baseball. At North Carolina, he worked as the director of operations for football.
Burkey earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from the University of South Carolina and his master's degree in sports administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
